"Scent" from Heaven: Clorox Disinfecting Wipes

I have a love-hate relationship with cleaning. There are days when I can't wait to scrub every surface, mop every floor and vacuum every room in my house. And then there are the days when I'd rather poke my eyes with knitting needles than get out the broom and dust pan.

My husband is an obsessive neat freak. He considers house cleaning a stress buster. I think he's a little crazy. The man can't sit still. He is Always. Cleaning. Something. I swear he suffers from a disease.

As the mother of a preschooler, keeping our home clean, as well as free from germs and bacteria is one of my top priorities. Considering how often we've been sick with colds and flu this past year, I try my best to disinfect the many surfaces in our home to prevent these illnesses.

I was way excited when I learned the folks at Clorox were going to send me a sample of their Disinfecting Wipes in the new Lavender scent. I use Clorox wipes regularly (the Orange scent is my favorite), and I have a stash of Wipes To Go in my car because Dawson never fails to spill something all over himself and the car seat.

Before I received this sample, I never actually took the time to research why Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are better than paper towels, sponges and dish rags. After visiting the Clorox website I discovered that these wipes are a better way to clean because they are thicker, textured wipes, the low-streak formula makes it easy to use on shiny surfaces like glass and mirrors, and Clorox wipes are effective against common bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Salmonella, and E.coli. An added bonus is the pre-moistened, disinfecting wipes kill 99.9% of germs including the viruses that cause colds and flu (Rhinovirus and Influenza A2).

If you've got a busy house like mine, you know that spills and messes happen all the time. I'm constantly cleaning spilled juice and other messes from my coffee table because a certain little boy is quite clumsy. Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are the quick and easy way to clean and disinfect anytime and anywhere.

I have to be honest and tell you that I was a little skeptical about the new lavender scent. Then our dog threw up in the kitchen -- the one mess that makes me gag! I got out my lavender-scented Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, and the brilliant, thicker wipes made clean-up quick and gag-free. The lavender smell is brilliant. Amazing.
